Home Class Description

All classes are open to all students.


Nishkama Yoga - the focus of this class is having a complete practice. The class begins with a power vinyasa style asana practice. The last 15 minutes of the class is dedicated to advancing pranayama (breathing) and meditation practices. Classes are 75 or 90 minutes in length.


Asana and Alignment - this class is focused on working a few specific poses slowly for proper alignment. All levels of practice should be attending this class at least once a week to learn where the body can be adjusted to stay safe and reach deeper levels of the poses. A&A is ideal for a student brand new to Yoga. These classes are 60 minutes in length.


Power Yoga Basics - this class is somewhere between A&A and Nishkama Yoga classes. The basic poses for a power vinyasa class are explored and the class moves slightly faster than Asana and Alignment class. Your physical practice with gain strength, focus and flexibility. The pranayama utilized in this class is Ujjayi. These classes are 60 minutes in length.


Gentle Yoga - an introductory class that slowly work through basic poses and emphasizes different pranayama (breathing) techniques. New students are encouraged to try this class along with Asana and Alignment. This class is 60 minutes in length.


Workshops - offered for enhancing instruction for all practitioners of Yoga and Meditation. The workshops will include those for Beginners, Intermediate students, Meditation. Lengths of workshops vary.


Sadhana and Philosophy Courses - these courses are offered throughout the year to provide deeper understanding of the full Yogic practice and Lifestyle. Pranayama, meditation, chanting, nutrition and ancient teachings are at the base of these courses. All students are welcome. Lengths of course times vary.


Mahamrit Chanting - offered every Saturday. This chant is a healing chant offered to the world on a weekly basis in the Ashrams of India and at the Atma Center in Cleveland Heights, OH. All are welcome. No need to know the chant. The benefits of the chant are granted just by attending. This class is free and donations are welcome. The length of the chant is approximately 30 minutes.
