One definition of yoga is ‘union’.  Tracy’s discovery of yoga brought her just that experience: a union of all aspects of herself. The first time she practiced yoga, she felt all of the individual aspects of herself coming together. She had been physically active her whole life: aerobics, bodybuilding, kickboxing, lifting, running, cycling, Spinning, rollerblading, rock climbing, cross country skiing…the more intense the work out the better. In addition, she had always had a spiritual and meditative practice. Since her childhood, she has been drawn to anything…churches, books, lectures, kirtans, group meditations….about the spiritual. So when she discovered yoga, she experienced a ‘union’. As her physical and spiritual selves integrated, her heart opened to the purpose and possibility of her life. On her mat, she can see the path towards all she might desire: patience, truth, equanimity, balance, comfort, love, joy, power, strength, freedom. As a teacher, she is inspired by the energy and grace, breath and love she feels as she moves from mat to mat. For Tracy, the practice of yoga has the power to unify each of us within ourselves and to each other.

Tracy is grateful for all of the teachers who have inspired her including, but not limited to, Laura LaRosa, Tami Schneider, Diana Vitantonio, Ted Lardner, Jonny Kest, Girish and ALL of the teachers at Nishkama Yoga and Cleveland Yoga.  She feels deep gratitude to her parents, Aaron, Leah, Bill…and Tazo, too!
